Desert Eco-Retreats

Silence is the
New Luxury

Disconnect from the noise of the world and reconnect with the earth. Experience the profound stillness of Saudi Arabia's sustainable desert sanctuaries.

The Philosophy

True luxury is no longer about gold taps and marble floors; it is about space, privacy, and the raw beauty of nature.

Saudi Arabia is pioneering a new era of "Eco-Luxury" where world-class hospitality blends seamlessly into the environment. From the Ashar Valley in AlUla to the red dunes of the Nofa wildlife park, these retreats are designed to leave no trace on the land, but a lasting impression on your soul.

Here, you wake up to the view of ancient rock formations, swim in private pools that mirror the sky, and sleep under a canopy of a billion stars.

The Retreats

Ashar Valley, AlUla

Banyan Tree AlUla

A masterpiece of camouflage. The tented villas of Banyan Tree AlUla are designed to disappear into the landscape. Inspired by the nomadic nature of Nabataean architecture, each suite offers a private pool and fire pit, shielded by the massive sandstone cliffs of the Ashar Valley.

The Experience

The 'Rock Pool' sits between natural sandstone formations, and the spa uses local ingredients like Moringa and Medjool dates. 47 tented villas across the Ashar Valley floor.

The resort uses natural ventilation and blends strictly into the existing topography to protect the valley's ecosystem.

AlUla

Habitas AlUla

Eco-conscious living meets immersive art. Habitas uses a modular construction method with no deep foundations, minimising ground disturbance at the villa pads. Guest programming emphasises communal meals and group activities.

The Experience

Stay in the Celestial Villas to sleep directly under the Milky Way. The resort focuses on programming: sunrise yoga in the canyon, open-air cinema nights, and the famous 'Tama' restaurant which serves farm-to-table cuisine sourcing ingredients from local Tabuk farms.

The Red Sea (Inland)

Six Senses Southern Dunes

A homage to the Nabataean trade routes. Located along the historic incense route, this resort is an architectural marvel that mimics the flow of the sand dunes. It is set in a remote, dramatic landscape that feels like the edge of the world.

The Experience

This is for the wellness purist. The resort features a holistic anti-aging center, biohacking recovery lounge, and sensory suites. Guests can join the 'Earth Lab' workshops to learn about desert botany and sustainability.

Riyadh Region

Nofa Riyadh, A Radisson Collection Resort

A safari-style retreat 120 km from Riyadh. Set on a 40 km² private reserve, Nofa pairs red-sand-dune landscapes with roaming wildlife and thatched-roof villas modelled on East African private lodges.

The Experience

Beyond the private plunge pools, Nofa's wildlife park houses giraffes, zebras, and ostriches. The resort includes an equestrian centre and an 18-hole championship golf course.
