Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 15, 2026

Our Commitment

Explore Saudi is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and working towards the relevant accessibility standards to provide equal access to all users.

Conformance Status

We want explore-saudi.com to be usable by as many people as possible and aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

The site is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA — meaning some parts meet the standard and some do not yet. We list the known gaps below rather than claim a conformance level we have not verified.

Technologies Used

This website is built using the following technologies:

  • HTML5 with semantic markup
  • WAI-ARIA attributes for enhanced screen reader support
  • CSS3 with responsive design and high-contrast support
  • JavaScript (React) with keyboard navigation support
  • SVG graphics with appropriate alternative text

Accessibility Features

  • Keyboard navigation support throughout the site
  • Skip-to-content links for efficient navigation
  • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy (h1-h6)
  • ARIA landmarks and labels for screen readers
  • Alternative text for most images and visual content (known gaps below)
  • Color contrast ratios largely meeting AA standards (known exception below)
  • Responsive design adapting to various screen sizes and zoom levels
  • Right-to-left (RTL) layout support for Arabic content
  • Dark mode support to reduce eye strain
  • Focus indicators visible on interactive elements

Known Limitations

Known limitations we are actively working on:

  • Colour contrast: some in-body links in our brand gold do not yet meet the required 4.5:1 contrast ratio (measured at approximately 2:1). A fix (link colour/underline) is in progress.
  • Form fields: some input fields use a font size below 16px, which causes mobile browsers to zoom in on focus. We plan to raise these to 16px or larger.
  • Alt text: some images on individual pages lack alt text; we are adding it progressively.
  • JavaScript dependency: some interactive content renders client-side only; we are working to make essential content available without JavaScript.
  • Multilingual coverage: not all content is yet fully, accessibly marked up in every language we support.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

This website has been designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation

Feedback and Contact

If you encounter a barrier or need content in another format, please email us. We aim to respond within a reasonable time and to remedy issues.

Enforcement

In the United Kingdom the Equality Act 2010 applies (Equality and Human Rights Commission). For digital services to EU consumers we observe the aims of the European Accessibility Act; as a micro-enterprise some obligations may be limited, but we still aim for AA conformance.
