Dar Tantora The House Hotel
Most hotels near a heritage site are built beside it. This one is inside it: thirty of Old Town AlUla's mudbrick houses, restored by local craftsmen using the methods their families have passed down, and turned into rooms. The houses cool themselves the way they always did — thick mud-and-straw walls, narrow shaded lanes — and after sunset the lanes and the dars run on candlelight. It is a two-night stay at minimum: one night for the old town, one for Hegra and the country around it.
